As I was shuffling the cards this week, the image of a rose came into my mind. I've had a couple rose bushes for a few years, and I know the amount of work they require. You can't just plop a rosebush down and expect it to grow without any care. They need plenty of sunshine, water, pruning, fertilizer, and other beneficial things like egg shells and coffee grounds.
As this image of the rose faded from my mind, the Ten of Pentacles came leaping out of the deck. To me, this is a card of abundance, prosperity, and essentially represents the life of your dreams.
While looking at the card I began to think about how those dreams don't just appear out of thin air. They take work, just like a rosebush. You can't just set your intention and expect everything to happen without any work on your part.
Think of your intentions as a tiny seed you plant in the ground. In order to help that seed grow into its full potential, you have to nurture it. You help it blossom by pruning old habits and beliefs that no longer serve you, and taking steps towards it every single day. The more love and attention you give it, the stronger it will grow. But, like a tiny seedling, if you neglect it for too long, it will just wither and die.
This week, you're being asked to plan out how you can give those intentions the love and care they need in order to thrive. Maybe it's something as simple as placing that phone call you've been putting off or starting to build your website. Whatever it is, do it! Take that step because both you and your dreams deserve it.
